Aqara G410 Doorbell Camera Hub now available

Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410

Today, Aqara launches the successor of their first video doorbell camera with the Aqara G410 Doorbell Camera Hub. It was already announced at CES 2025 in January and is now available. The doorbell looks very similar to the G4, however there are improvements in several areas, like hub functionality, image quality, field of view and motion detection. With a Zigbee and Thread hub, it doubles as a Aqara hub for your Aqara Zigbee devices as well as Thread devices from Aqara and third-party brands. It also supports RTSP, making it a lot easer to integrate the G410 Video Doorbell into platforms like Home Assistant. The Aqara Doorbell Camera Hub G410 is available on Amazon for €129,99/$129,99/£129,99.

New features Aqara G410 vs Aqara G4

The Aqara G410 is the latest video doorbell form Aqara and while very similar in looks to the Aqara G4, inside a lot has changed. It’s still a HSKV (HomeKit Secure Video) doorbell, works both on 6 AA batteries or wired and has an indoor chime which also is the part of the doorbell connecting to your WiFi. The following features are either new or improved:

  • Zigbee hub to connect your Aqara devies to the Aqara Home app and expose them to Matter
  • Thread hub to connect Aqara and third-party devices to the Aqara Home app
  • RTSP support for integration in Home Assistant
  • 2K resolution, 4:3 aspect ratio and 175° field of view
  • mmWave radar for presence detection (instead of a PIR motion sensor)
  • 2.4GHz and 5GHz WiFi support

With these upgrades, Aqara offers a substantial upgrade at a similar price point as the G4. With the increased field of view, you’re now able to have a better vertical view. The 2K resolution is however only available when the G410 is not connected to Apple HomeKit. Apple HomeKit (HKSV) currently does not support 2K.

Hub functionality Aqara G410 Video Doorbell

Aqara recently introduced several products with a hub integrated, like the Aqara G5 Outdoor Camera. The Aqara G410 now also offers both Zigbee and Thread hub functionality, which means you don’t need a separate hub to connect other Aqara devices to your Smart Home. Given the location of your doorbell, it might also be an interesting hub to connect outdoor devices to, as these might be located close to the video doorbell. You can connect up to 40 Aqara Zigbee devices and up to 40 Matter devices.

While it was possible to integrate the Aqara G4 into home assistant, given the lack of support for RTSP, this was not straight forward. The G410, like the earlier released Aqara G5 camera, now supports RTSP. This allows you to directly integrate this doorbell to Home Assistant.

Aqara also released a new outdoor 2K camera with RTSP support: the Aqara Camera G100.
