Eve announced their latest product today, the Eve Dimmer Switch. The Matter over Thread switch will be available in the United States and Canada on March 17th. It works with Matter over Thread, which enables control in all major Smart Home platforms like Google Home, Amazon Alexa, Apple HomeKit and Home Assistant. It’s priced at $49,99 in the US and $74,99 in Canada. There’s currently no information regarding a potential European version of the Dimmer Switch like Aqara released earlier this month.
Features Eve Dimmer Switch
The Eve Dimmer Switch has a hybrid touch button/rocker dimmer design, which you can use both for dimming and turning your lights on or off. The design and price is similar to the Eve Light Switch. With Matter over Thread, Eve offers compatibility with all major Smart Home platforms. A neutral wire is required for installation of the Eve Dimmer Switch.
The switch is designed both for single-pole and 3-way switch configurations. Dimming should be happening flicker-free. Next to control in your Smart Home app, you can also use the Eve Home app for on/off and brightness control and some additional options like preferred brightness levels, on-device scheduling and LED status settings.
If we look into the more technical details, the Eve Dimmer Switch is suitable for a power input of 120 VAC, 60 HZ. Supported loads are 3-150W for LED, max. 600W for incandescent/Tungsten or Halogen lights and max. 300VA for MLV lights. The dimensions are 4.7 * 2.9 * 1.8 inch.
