iRobot announces Roomba Combo Essential Robot Vacuum and Mop

iRobot Roomba Combo Essential

iRobot announced a new Robot Vacuum, the iRobot Roombo Combo Essential Robot. This 2-in 1 Vacuum and Mop is an update compared to the Roomba 600 series adding a mop function and 18 times more suction power. The Smart Robovac is available for only $275, making it their most affordable robot vacuum.

Features

According to iRobot, the Roomba Combo Essential improves in a few areas compared to the Roombo 600 series, next to the mop functionality and the suction power upgrade. It adds Clean Map reports, longer battery life, customizable suction, liquid settings and is able to clean better in neat rows. You can also set automations to schedule your cleaning while you’re not home.

If you only want to vacuum your home, you need to remove the mop in order to avoid the Roomba Combo Essential to mop the floor. The battery life is around 120 minutes. You can adjust the suction power and liquid settings according to the level of cleaning needed.

Control

You can control the Roomba Combo Essential with the iRobot Home app or you can use one of the supported voice assistants: Amazon Alexa, Google Assistent and Siri from Apple. You can also just press the clean button on the device to start your cleaning. After the cleaning session, you will find a Clean Map report in the iRobot Home app. This contains information on the areas cleaned, coverage and duration.

Availability and price

The Roomba Combo Essential is available for a price of $275 in the USA from April 4th through the official website of iRobot and from April 7th at select retailers such as Amazon. In Europe, the Robot Vacuum is available from April 4th for a price of €299.
