Features Roborock Saros 10

The Roborock Saros 10 is the thinnest Roborock robot vacuum so far, with a height of 7.98 cm. With the RetractSense navigation system, it lowers the LIDAR sensor to be able to clean in low areas, while still begin able to detect its surroundings. An upward range finder measures the heights to decide whether to lower the sensor, while the top contact sensor keeps the Saros 10 save while the sensor is lowered, detecting when the height of the area is too small for the robovac. It features AI obstacle recognition, with a front light and RGB Camera.

With 22.000 Pa, it has one of the highest suction power in robot vacuums available. The vacuum has two brushes placed next to each other to avoid hair tangling. The vibration mop can be automatically detached when in vacuum-only or carpet first mode. The mop has a force up to 8N and vibrates up to 4.000 times per minute. A small side mop is added for edge cleaning, while being able to automatically lift when needed. The base station of the Saros 10 washes the mop at 80 degrees celsius, while drying it at 60 degrees celsius. At the base station, a dispenser automatically adds detergent. The robot vacuum has a 6.400 mAh battery, which is fully charged at the base station in 150 minutes.

In Quit mode, noises are as loud as 52dB, while emptying the dust at 72dB. When the Saros S10 has no internet connection or is not connected to the app, it’s still able to be controlled by voice comments on-device. Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa are also supported. An Over-The-Air update will add Matter 1.4 support to the Saros 10. This means you’re able to control cleaning modes, on/off and return to dock actions, but also choosing which room to clean. Matter certification is already in place, so only a firmware update is required to connect the device to e.g. Apple HomeKit with Matter over WiFi.

Features Saros 10R

The Roborock Saros 10R features the same 7.98 cm height design as the Saros 10. The Starlight Autonomous system 2.0 is able to navigate through the room and recognize objects. With 3D sensors and and RGB camera for visual recognition, it’s able to detect small objects, cables etc. The dual Anti-Tangle brush is created to deal with pet hairs. When the robot vacuum detects liquids, it will automatically switch to mop-only mode to clean the liquid. It has a suction power of 19.000 Pa, which is a less compared to the Saros 10, but still one of the highest suction power available in robot vacuums currently.

The Saros 10R is also able to pass up to 4cm thresholds. It also has an extendable side-brush and mop for corner and edge cleaning, which is able to reach the edge and corners completely. When the Saros 10R is done cleaning, it will fully charge in 2.5 hours at the multifunctional docking station. Here, dust is automatically emptied, with storage for up to 7 weeks of cleaning. The mop is washed at 80 degrees celsius, while drying is at 55 degrees celsius. There’s an auto detergent dispenser build-in.

The build-in camera can also be used to check after your pets. You can watch them through the Roborock app, but also find them using the Find Pet mode. Like the Saros 10, Matter 1.4 will be available in a future firmware update, allowing you to control your robot vacuum directly in Apple HomeKit.
