The SwitchBot Relay Switch, already shown at IFA in Berlin earlier this year, is now available in two versions: the SwitchBot Relay Switch 1 and SwitchBot Relay Switch 1PM. The Relay Switch 1PM can be used for single-channel circuits and includes real-time energy monitoring. The Relay Switch 1 is for setups with one dry contact. Both relays have Matter support build-in, without the need for a SwitchBot hub. The relays are priced at $16.99 / £21.99 / €21.99 for Relay Switch 1PM, and $15.99 / £19.99 / €19.99 for Relay Switch 1.
Features
The Relay Switch 1 and 1PM both support Matter directly, without the need to connect it to a SwitchBot hub. It works over WiFi and Bluetooth and serves as a Bluetooth repeater for you SwitchBot devices when connected to a SwitchBot hub. This extends the bluetooth range up to 80m (in open spaces) for more stable connectivity of SwitchBot devices throughout the house.
The Relay Switch 1PM supports real-time power monitoring for tracking energy usage. It can be used to make a lot of non-smart devices smart, such as lights and ceiling fans. The Relay Switch 1 can be used for garage doors, doorbells and irrigations systems.
