SwitchBot has launched a new product: the SwitchBot Safety Alarm. It works with Apple Find My, has a 130dB alarm and a build-in light. You can also fake incoming calls and notify others when you’re in danger. It also works as a NFC card for your SwitchBot Lock in combination with a Keypad Touch or Keypad Vision. It’s available in White, Black and Aqua for €39,99/£39,99/$39,99.
SwitchBot Safety Alarm features
The SwitchBot Safety Alarm is a small device you can carry with you to either disorient attackers, attract attention or call for help. There are several build-in features to warn someone. First, the support for Apple Find My enables sharing your location with anyone with an iPhone. Within the iPhone or iPad app, you can follow the location of the device, like you can do with an Apple AirTag.
To activate an alarm, you have the option to pull a pin. This activates a loud 130dB alarm, a flashing light and auto-alerts predefined emergency contacts with your location. The silent SOS mode is activated by holding the button, such that your emergency contacts are informed something is going one, without alerting anyone nearby. You can also double press the button to set-up a fake call to your phone. It’s IP65 Water- and Dustproof, which makes it suitable for rainy environments.

Like the SwitchBot Wallet Finder Card, the SwitchBot Safety Alarm also works as a NFC card to enter your home. It works with the Keypad Touch and Keypad Vision from SwitchBot. The device works with 2 CR2032 batteries, which is enough for about 1 year of usage when using it with Apple Find My, or up to 2 years when only using it with the SwitchBot app.
