SwitchBot announced the launch of the SwitchBot Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro, an upgrade of the already available K10+. According to SwitchBot, this is the smallest robot vacuum in the world, which makes it easer to clean under your sofa or chairs. It has an anti-tangle rubber brush, contains an advanced Position Sensitive Detector sensor and the suction power is upgraded to 3000Pa. It’s available immediately on Amazon in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Germany, Spain, Italy, France and The Netherlands and on the official website of SwitchBot in the US, UK and the EU for $599.99/£599.99/€599.99. Features
SwitchBot also offers a larger Robot Vacuum, the SwitchBot Floor Cleaning Robot S10 which can be connected directly to your plumbing and more advances features. This new Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro is a more affordable option and more suitable for rooms with a lot of small spaces a larger robot vacuum would not be able to clean. The K10+ Pro has four different suction levels: Quit (600pa), Standard (1100pa), Strong 1600pa) and Max (3000pa). The base station offers a 4L dust bin, allowing to store up to 90 days of dust, such that you only have to dispose the dust 4 times a year.
Smart Home Integration
The SwitchBot Mini Robot Vacuum K10+ Pro supports multiple Smart Home platforms. In Alexa, you can start and stop the vacuum and set different suction levels, while Google Home supports start, stop and recharging. Within Siri Shortcuts (not Apple HomeKit), several shortcuts can be set up, such as start, pause, continue, return to station, pause recharge, finding the K10+ and adjusting the suction level. SmartThings currently only supports start and stop functionality. Finally, IFTTT is also supported with options to start, pause, recharge and adjust suction levels. With a Matter enabled hub from SwitchBot, the SwitchBot Hub 2 or the SwitchBot Hub Mini Matter Enabled, it is also exposed to Matter. As most platforms currently don’t support the Robot Vacuum Matter standard yet, this will only expose a on/off button to start or stop cleaning. Full support for Robot Vacuums in Apple HomeKit is announced by Apple to launch this fall, but it’s yet unknown whether or when SwitchBot will support full Matter functionality.
