At IFA in Berlin last year, SwitchBot announced several new Smart Home products. Two of them are the SwitchBot Air Purifier and SwitchBot Air Purifier Table. Two smart air purifiers, which you can control anywhere you like and also have some nice additional features. The Air Purifier Table features a wireless charger for your smartphone and an ambient light to set the mood. Both were available for a while as pre-order, but are now also available directly on Amazon.
Features SwitchBot Air Purifier
Both models are ment to improve the quality of the air in your home. It can remove smells, hairs from pets and is suitable from spaces up to 165 m². The airflow has a speed of 400 m³ per hour. The 360 degree design makes ure to clean the air on all sides, without missing anything.
The SwitchBot Air Purifier removes about 93% of pet hairs in 30 minutes. It has a special filter for these pet hairs, which enables the device to hold on to the hair captured without releasing it back into the air. It’s also able to remove about 98% of all smells from pets, cooking, cigarets and sweat.
Your health can also benefit from the Air Purifier. With the HEPA filter, 99,97% of particles as small as 0.3 micrometer are captured. It’s able to remove allergies, bacteria and viruses from the air for a healthier environment. It’s also able to monitor PM 2.5 and adjust accordingly.
SwitchBot Air Purifier Design
The Pet mode of the air purifier will remove pet hair, while making sure your pet won’t be scared by the device. The upside of the device is designed in such a way that your pet can sit on top, without any danger. You can also remove the adapter if needed.There’s also a light added to the device, which can indicate the current air quality. This is automatically disabled at night. In silent mode, the Air Purifier from SwitchBot makes noise up to 20dB. It will also adjust based on the air volume of the room.
When choosing the SwitchBot Air Purifier Table, you will also have a table on top of the device, with a wireless charger build-in. This Qi charger can charge your Android phone at 15W and iPhones up to 7.5W. With the added table, you can also use the air purifier as a night stand or coffee table.
Smart Air Purifier
Next to everything you can expect of a regular air purifier, there are also some smart features. You can adjust colour of the build-in light using the SwitchBot app. Also the regular controls can be found in the SwitchBot app, allowing you to change the speed anywhere in the word. With the latest update, SwitchBot enabled native Matter over WiFi support. This means, you’re now able to control your air purifier directly in e.g. HomeKit. In HomeKit, you will get a on/off button, control of the speed (1-100%) and an air quality sensor.
