The robot vacuum was available on Kickstarter earlier this year and is now ready for an official release. European customers have to wait a bit longer, as in Europe shipment will start on May 10th. Robot Vacuum and Mop with Water Station
The SwitchBot S10 does not only vacuum your floors, but is also equipped with a mop. One of the key features is the water station which is connected to your plumbing, ensuring a worry-free experience as you won’t have to fill or empty the water tank by yourself. SwitchBot claims you can vacuum and mop up to two months without having to empty the dustbin. With these functionalities, SwitchBot aims at a fully automated Robovac which you can basically ignore for weeks or months while still enjoying a clean house.
The S10 has two stations: the dustbin station and the water station. While you connect the water station to your plumbing, the dustbin station can be placed in another area. Water is filled and drained automatically when needed. The mop will dry using 50 degree Celsius hot air, making sure the mop will stay fresh and clean.
With its 365 mm diameter and height of 115 mm, the SwitchBot S10 is significantly bigger than its little brother, the SwitchBot K10+. It has LIDAR navigation on board, uses AI to detect objects to avoid and will be able to keep your carpet clean by deactivating the mop function. The S10 supports Matter through the SwitchBot Hub 2, which means you can start a cleaning session and set up automations in the Apple Home app. More specific settings are still only available in the SwitchBot app, party due to the fact that Matter is still in its early days.
One of the more fun and unique functions of the SwitchBot S10 is its capability to refill or empty the to be announced Humidifier and Dehumidifier of SwitchBot, which are expected later this year.
