The UGREEN SynCare Indoor Cam ID500 Pro is now open for reservation and is one of the few indoor cameras with Matter 1.5.1 support. The 4K camera does not store footage in the cloud. It sends it to the new UGREEN HomeAgent hub, which analyses the video locally at home.

What the UGREEN SynCare Indoor Cam ID500 Pro offers

The ID500 Pro has an 8-megapixel sensor for 4K HDR video, a 4 mm F1.6 lens, 8x digital zoom and starlight night vision. A motorised base pans 360 degrees and tilts 111 degrees, with automatic motion tracking. A physical privacy shutter covers the lens when you want no picture at all. It connects over dual-band Wi-Fi 6, is powered over USB-C, and sits on a desk or shelf or mounts to a wall or ceiling.

Over Matter 1.5.1 the camera streams video and audio, records clips, and supports pan, tilt and zoom including saved presets. Two-way talk, night vision, HDR and status light brightness are adjustable too. You can also draw your own 2D zones for motion detection, and the camera reports whether its privacy shutter is closed. Home Assistant is rolling out native Matter camera support, so that ecosystem should be able to use it as well.

Local AI through the HomeAgent hub

The camera does not keep footage itself. Video and snapshots go to the HomeAgent, a Matter controller with local AI and network storage running UGOS Pro. As we covered in our look at UGREEN’s HomeAgent ecosystem, the hub processes the footage on-site. It can spot a crying baby, summarise events and let you search past footage by keyword. You can also ask for camera status and recent events by voice.

That means the ID500 Pro is of little use without a HomeAgent: the camera is built as part of this system. Anker takes a similar route with MindBase, a local hub with its own language model and up to 48 TB of storage, but Anker has not yet announced a price or release date. UGREEN has already published prices.

Price and availability

You can reserve through UGREEN’s crowdfunding page. The ID500 Pro costs $89 as an early-bird add-on (list price $149) and can only be ordered together with a reserved HomeAgent. The outdoor OD600 Pro and OD800 Pro cost $159 and $199. Earlier reports put the Kickstarter launch at 27 October, with shipping from late January 2027. Hub prices differ between sources, so check the current figures on the campaign page before you reserve. Local pricing has not been announced.
